Daily temperatures range from the mid 80s during the day, to the low 60s at night. All rooms have AC and fans in unit.
Be sure to bring your bathing suits as there will be lots of swimming, and don't forget a jacket for those chilly nights!

One Mexican Peso = .049 USD. The easiest way to calculate this is to cut the Mexican Peso amount in half and remove the last number. For example, 300 Pesos = roughly 15 USD.
Many places will not accept USD and if you're planning to do any local shopping you will need physical pesos. We would recommend using an ATM to withdraw your Pesos with a card that charges no exchange fees. Exchange hubs in the airport will cost more than a bank in town.
In restaurants and for services, the standard tipping rate ranges from 10-20%.

There are plenty of markets and restaurants that are a close distance from both Casas. Casa Del Cielo also has an outdoor kitchen should you decide to prepare your own food. Keep in mind that your stomach may not be used to traditional Mexican cuisine and the new host of bacteria that comes with it.
We recommend only eating at restaurants recommended by fellow westerners, and do yourself and all of us a favor and don't eat anything from a wheelbarrow (you can ask Ryan about that one.)

You can rent a car for roughly $25 a day. You may decide to pair up with another couple visiting and share a car, or just simply taxi throughout the weekend. Keep in mind that if you have never driven in Mexico before, you may want to opt for the taxi option.
We will provide transportation to and from the wedding for those staying at Casa Del Cielo.

You will want to book your flight into ZIH (not MEX). We would highly recommend booking a flight without a layover in MEX unless you have a minimum of a 3 hour layover, as the airport can be quite chaotic.

Zihuatanejo is safe, but as any where in the world, you should exercise caution. For our solo female travelers especially, we would very highly recommend sticking with a group of two or more.
You will want to avoid keeping things in your pockets that may be exposed to pick-pockets, and keep your purse and/or backpack in clear sight always.
During our stay in Zihuatanejo, we had zero safety concerns, but you are always better safe than sorry!

Travel Tips.
You absolutely should! Zihuatanejo and the surrounding cities have so much more to offer than you could possibly see in four nights.
For our friends and family who want to stay an extra few days before or after the celebration, you can book rooms individually from Casa Del Cielo. There are also countless other beautiful resorts in the area, our favorite of which is the luxury Thompson Hotel by Hyatt.
what if I want to stay longer?!
